Mines
Tartarus has eight mines, each centered on its namesake ore. You unlock them with your level — once a mine is unlocked, it stays unlocked.
Getting around
Run /warp to open the warp menu. Every mine tile shows a danger meter; unlocked mines also list how many players are nearby, the level required, and the warp's coordinates, while locked mines show the level you still need. Once unlocked, click to warp (or use /warp <name> directly).
The mines
| Mine | Unlocks at | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Coal Mine | Level 1 | Open from the start |
| Iron Mine | Level 10 | A wooden pickaxe can mine iron from level 10 |
| Lapis Mine | Level 25 | |
| Redstone Mine | Level 45 | |
| Gold Mine | Level 65 | |
| Diamond Mine | Level 85 | |
| Emerald Mine | Level 100 | Needs a diamond pickaxe or better |
| Netherite Mine | Prestige 2 + Level 102 | Ancient Debris; a separate cavern of its own |
The first seven mines are all out in the prison world. The danger meter climbs with each tier — and PvP is on in every mine (only the warp arrival platform overhead is safe ground), so the deeper you go, the more it pays to watch your back.
Calcite Caverns
A special timed mine that unlocks at level 100. Mine calcite for XP, Ancient Energy, and ores, and combine fragments to forge a Cavernheart key. PvP is on and you don't keep your inventory if you die there.
Your time inside is rationed: you start with 10 minutes per day. Hit the daily block threshold and you gain 4 minutes, up to a cap of 30 (higher prison ranks raise that cap a little); miss it and you lose 4 (never below the 10-minute floor). Use /calcitecaverns to check your threshold and time.
Beyond the mines
The warp menu also reaches the rest of the world:
- The Pit of Erebus — unlocks at level 60. PvP on, no keep-inventory, and you're dropped at a random spawn each time you warp in. Erebus's undying guards patrol it.
- Forgotten Polis — a ruined overworld where you hunt Shades for loot. On entry you choose a path: Pilgrim (PvP off, no bonus loot), Wanderer (PvP on, bonus drops), or Defiler (PvP on, the biggest drop bonus).
- Ancient Roads — the second overworld, carved through the bones of Tartarus. Requires Hunter Rank III: hunt Shades in the Polis, then spend Hunter Points in
/hunter. The same Pilgrim / Wanderer / Defiler choice applies on entry. - The Asphodel Meadows — a peaceful AFK retreat (PvP off, keep-inventory on) that unlocks at level 30 or your first prestige. Linger there to earn AFK Points for the
/afk shop. - KOTH — the King of the Hill arena; you can only warp in while a KOTH event is running. The tile shows the next start time.
