Tartarus has eight mines, each centered on its namesake ore. You unlock them as you level up — and once a mine is unlocked, it stays unlocked for good.

Getting around

Run /warp to open the warp menu. Every mine tile shows a danger meter, the players nearby, the level required, and the warp coordinates. Click an unlocked tile to teleport, or skip the menu with /warp <name>. Locked tiles just show the level you still need to reach.

The eight mines

Mine Unlocks at Notes
Coal Level 1 Open from the start
Iron Level 10 A wooden pickaxe can mine iron from Level 10
Lapis Level 25
Redstone Level 45
Gold Level 65
Diamond Level 85
Emerald Level 100 Needs a diamond pickaxe or better
Netherite Prestige 2 + Level 102 A separate cavern of its own

The first seven mines all sit out in the prison world; the netherite mine is a separate cavern you reach once you've hit Prestige 2 and Level 102.

The danger meter climbs with each tier, so deeper mines pay more — but they're riskier. PvP is on in every mine: only the warp arrival platform overhead is safe ground. The deeper you go, the more it pays to watch your back. (See Ore Values & Respawn Times for what each mine drops.)

Beyond the mines

The warp menu reaches more than just the mines. Its other tiles take you to the rest of Tartarus — the Erebus Pit, Forgotten Polis, Ancient Roads, the Asphodel Meadows, King of the Hill, and the timed Calcite Caverns. Each has its own page for the details.
