Gang Points
Gang Points are your gang's shared score — a single number that gates your upgrades and decides where you land on the leaderboard. Check yours with /gp (also /gangpoints or /g points).
How you earn them
In Season 2, Gang Points are minted only by mining your own gang's ore-generator crude. They are no longer earned from killing shades, wraiths, or caravans, and breaking ordinary ore gives nothing.
The rules are simple:
- Mining crude in a cell owned by a gang credits that gang. Crude mined in a cell with no gang owner earns nothing.
- Each crude block pays out based on the generator's tier —
generator price x a fixed ratio. Because that ratio is constant, the points-per-dollar-invested is identical across tiers: a coal gen and a netherite gen reward the same value for the money you sank into them. There's no advantage to stacking cheap low-tier gens. - Condensed Crude Ore blocks pay 10x the points of normal crude.
A single, locked gang-wide score
Gang Points are one shared number for the whole gang — not a per-player balance and not tied to any cell.
- Non-withdrawable and non-transferable — you can't cash them out or move them between gangs.
- Not raidable — they can no longer be stolen in a raid.
- They survive cell sale or transfer, so a gang can't dump its value onto alts near map reset.
What they're for
Gang Points do exactly two things, and they are never spent — meeting a threshold simply unlocks something:
- Gate gang upgrades — an upgrade requires a points total, but buying it doesn't drain your score.
- Rank the gang leaderboard — your total decides your standing on
/gtop.
The Stele of the Ancients is gone. Depositing and withdrawing points, the per-cell generator speed boost it granted, and capturing it during raids were all removed. Generator output is now flat and predictable.
Version history
v2.0.0
- Ore generators now mint Gang Points instead of sellable money or ore, with higher-tier gens paying proportionally more so there's no edge to spamming cheap gens.
- Gang Points became a single gang-wide score that can't be withdrawn, traded, or raided — and are earned only from mining your own gang's gen crude.
- Removed the Stele of the Ancients along with point deposit/withdraw, the generator speed boost, and Stele capture; generator output is now flat and predictable.
- Condensed Crude Ore mined from a generator pays 10x the points of normal crude.
