Mining Charges
Mining charges are thrown consumables that tear a whole sphere of ore out of the mine in one go. Right-click to throw one, watch the fuse, and the sphere goes up in a single event — no swinging, no enchant procs, just a crater and a payout.
There are five, and they all drop from Uber bosses. Four of them clear ore; the fifth is a buff you light instead of a bomb you throw.
The four thrown charges
Each one clears the same shape of hole. What differs is which channel it pays through — that's the whole reason there's more than one.
| Charge | Pays as |
|---|---|
| Slag Charge | Ancient Energy |
| Chronal Charge | Mining XP |
| Gilded Charge | Ore, auto-sold on the spot — money |
| Void Charge | Nothing at all |
Slag, Chronal and Gilded each clear a radius-12 sphere, up to 8,000 blocks, and each pays that volume at a heavy multiple of what breaking it by hand would have earned. Chronal is the odd one worth noticing: XP is the one thing no volume enchant really gives you, so a Chronal Charge buys something Shatter can't.
The Void Charge is the exception in both directions. It unmakes a radius-60 sphere — enormous next to the others — and grants you nothing for it. Not XP, not energy, not ore. It exists to make a colossal hole appear and then fill back in, and that's the entire point of it.
In every case the ore grows back on its normal timer, so a charge doesn't cost the mine anything long-term.
The Powder Keg
The Powder Keg isn't thrown — you light it. For 2 minutes it gives you +200% increased proc chance on every mining enchant, which pools additively with your other increased-proc-chance sources (prestige perks, armour trims and the rest) rather than multiplying on top of them.
Lighting a second keg while one is running adds to the timer instead of replacing it. It doesn't survive a server restart.
Throwing them
- They only go off on ore. A charge flies until it hits ore. Thrown at a wall, the floor of the hub, or open air, it fizzles and does nothing.
- Throw as fast as you can click. There's no meaningful rate limit — a 250 ms floor stops a double-click eating two, and that's it.
- They show what they paid. When the last of the sphere lands, the total appears in the middle of your screen.
- Charges are unsellable and stack in your inventory.
Where to get them
Uber bosses, and only Uber bosses. Each uber pays its own charge, a few at a time:
| Uber | Charge |
|---|---|
| Uber Lamia | Void Charge |
| Uber Echidna | Powder Keg |
| Uber Thanatos | Chronal Charge |
| Uber Hephaestus | Slag Charge and Gilded Charge |
They're direct drops — there's no recipe, and nothing else in the game makes one.
