Uber Bosses

Every one of the four world bosses now has a harder version: Uber Lamia, Uber Echidna, Uber Thanatos and Uber Hephaestus. They are the hardest content on the server, they use the same altars and the same arenas as the normal fights, and they roll from loot tables of their own.

Summoning one

An uber is summoned at that boss's normal altar — there's no separate hub, no separate portal, no separate arena. What's different is the key.

Uber keys are separate relics, not upgraded normal keys. They aren't forged from boss essence, they aren't sold in the Boss Shop, and a Mystery Boss Key never rolls one. They come out of Erebus Crates at the higher Erebus Tear tiers, a few per crate, and a crate only ever pays the key matching that tear's mark, so the tear you seal decides which uber you get to call.

Uber summons need Community Fund tier V. All four unlock together at that tier, and that's the only gate — drop the key in the altar and the summon works exactly like a normal one, refund rules included. See Summoning a Boss.

Four peaks, not a ladder

The normal bosses climb in difficulty. The ubers don't. All four are roughly equal: they share the same effective health pool and hit in the same damage range, so there's no "easiest uber" to farm and no natural order to clear them in.

What separates them is mechanics. Between them the four ubers bring seven abilities the normal fights don't have, and each boss's kit is built around a different problem to solve. Which abilities, and how to answer them, is left for the arena — go and find out.

What's different in the fight

Everything on Boss Fight Mechanics still applies — private party arena, party scaling, combat regen, the 20-minute cap, keeping your inventory on death and respawning at the altar. On top of that:

• No stuns, and full knockback immunity. A normal boss can't be slowed or stun-locked; an uber additionally cannot be knocked back at all. Nothing you do moves it.
• The boss bar tells the truth. It shows the uber's real effective pool and drains by the damage you actually dealt, not the raw number before its damage reduction. What you see is what you've done.
• Every uber fields minions of its own. They're part of the kit, not scenery. Bows and wands hit all of them, so ranged builds are a genuine answer to an add-heavy phase.

Uber kills also count on the base boss's leaderboard — kills, damage and Fastest Times alike. There's no separate uber board, and there's no RNG Meter for ubers either.

Loot

An uber kill rolls 3 items, and its table is completely separate from the normal boss's. Tables show up in /loot once you've seen them, each row carrying that boss's own summoning-key art.

Every uber drops:

• A unique of its own: one item that boss alone pays, listed below. This is the rarest thing in its table.
• One exceptional enchant orb, a level above the enchant's normal cap. Like every exceptional orb it applies at 50% and takes an Ancient Energy charge before you can use it.
• Mythic Booster Boxes: the tier above Legendary, and an uber-only drop. This is the bulk of the table.
• Erebus Splinters, which open an Erebus Tear on the spot.
• Mining charges, a few at a time.
• Jewel Truing Stones, for rerolling a jewel you already own.
