AncientsWiki

There are two ways into the Rift, and you can use either whenever you have daily time remaining:

  • Right-click the Riftkeeper at spawn to open the Rift menu, then click Enter Rift.
  • Run /rift to open the same menu, or /rift enter to drop straight in.

Before you can enter

The Rift checks a few things first:

  • The Rift is unlocked (community Fund II complete).
  • You're standing in a safe zone.
  • You have daily time left.
  • You're not already inside, and the Rift isn't at its player cap (40 by default).

If you're playing on the Forgotten Polis or Ancient Roads, entering automatically transfers you to the main server (where the Rift lives) and drops you in a moment later.

Your inventory is safe

You do not need to empty your inventory first. The instant you enter, your entire inventory — armor and offhand included — is stored and you're handed the Rift kit. Entry is cancelled if that backup can't be saved, so you're never cleared without it. You get everything back the moment you leave, and it's restored automatically if you disconnect or the server reboots.

The Riftkeeper itself is a permanent, invulnerable NPC at spawn ("Riftkeeper — Tartarus Warden").

Version history

v2.0.0

  • Enter the Rift on demand through the Riftkeeper NPC at spawn or /rift — no scheduled event, no queue.
  • No more emptying your inventory before entering: your full inventory is stored on entry and handed back on exit (and restored after a disconnect or reboot).
