Nyx's Shroud (armour)

Nyx's Shroud is the armour trim built for fighting other players — night itself, drawn closed over the breach. It arrived with Map III as the replacement for the retired Wayfarer set, and it is the only PvP-facing trim set in the game.

Its stat lines stay hidden in /trims until the first player applies one. What it grants is left for those who earn it to discover.

Worn as a complete four-piece set it unlocks a full-set ability of its own, Rift Wound. Being a PvP set, it is the trim to chase if your endgame is Forgotten Polis rather than the mines.

Where to get it

Nyx's Shroud has exactly one source: the Erebus Crates that fall when an Erebus Tear is sealed. There is no lootbox, boss or vendor path to it.

The route in runs through Nyx, the quest guide standing with the others at spawn. Talking to her opens the Wounds of Erebus quest line, which is the game's introduction to tears and everything that erupts out of the overworld, and talking to her again tells you when the next tear is due and where a live one has opened.

Sealing a tear calls down three crates near the breach. They're open to anyone: landing the killing blow gives you no claim, and the first player to mine a crate open takes everything inside it. Only the deeper tears pay a Shroud at all, so the reliable approach is to seal the highest tier you can reach rather than farming volume at the shallow end.
