Hunter Perks

Hunter Points are no longer spent unlocking tiers by rank — they go into the /hunter perk shop, where you buy and rank up 7 perks that make you a deadlier predator across The Hunt.

Open the shop with /hunter. The same menu holds the interactive tier selector covered in Hunt Tiers & Boss Essence, so you switch tiers and spend points from one place. Check where you stand with /huntertop.

The 7 perks

Perk Effect Max
Hunter's Sight Only you see nearby shades & wraiths outlined. Single rank (toggle)
Hunter's Swiftness +5% increased movement speed per rank while hunting the alignment zones. 50% (10 ranks)
Hunter's Luck +2% loot per rank. 20% (10 ranks)
Hunter's Edge +4% damage per rank. 40% (10 ranks)
Hunter's Ward +2% damage reduction per rank. 20% (10 ranks)
Plunderer's Fortune +1% double-drop chance per rank. 10% (10 ranks)
Spectral Echo +1% chance per rank to respawn a killed shade at the same tier. 10% (10 ranks)

Hunter's Sight is a single-rank toggle — once owned, it outlines nearby shades and wraiths for your eyes only. Everything else ranks up to ten times for a steadily climbing bonus.

The Talos Construct

Perks aren't the only thing Hunter Points buy. The Talos Construct is a bronze automaton that hunts bosses in your stead, online or offline — unlock it once in the Boss Shop at the boss hub for 5,000 Hunter Points, then manage it with /talos. It's account-bound and entirely virtual: there's no construct to place in your cell any more.

Each run costs a boss summoning key plus Ancient Energy — from 5,000 per run on Lamia up to 50,000 on Hephaestus — and either completes for a roll of that boss's loot or fails and burns the fuel anyway. It is deliberately worse than killing the boss yourself: runs are slow, completion is never free, and Talos loot ignores luck entirely (no LUCK stat, no RNG meter pity).

Two upgrade lines are bought with Hunter Points, 20 levels each:

Upgrade What it does
Speed Shortens a run. Every boss bottoms out at a 15-minute run at max speed.
Completion Raises the flat success chance, from 40% at level 0 to 80% maxed.

The paid season pass grants a further +20% completion across levels 1, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50, stacked on top of the upgrade line — so maxed upgrades plus a fully claimed pass reach 100% on all four bosses. No boss carries a completion penalty any more; Thanatos and Hephaestus are no harder for Talos to finish than the others.

Which bosses it may hunt is not bought. Talos unlocks a boss once you have personally killed 50 of that boss, so it only ever automates a fight you've already solved.

Earning Hunter Points

Hunter Points drop from killing shades, wraiths, and bosses. The harder the target, the more you bank toward the next perk rank — and daily bonuses can pad your haul on a good day. For the rare Wraithheart Offhand and other high-tier rewards, climb your hunt tier first.

Version history

v3.0.0

  • Talos is no longer a dungeon drop — unlock it in the Boss Shop for 5,000 Hunter Points and manage it with /talos. It runs without a cell construct now.
  • Talos hunts a boss once you have killed 50 of that boss yourself. Boss access is no longer bought with Hunter Points.
  • Talos runs bottom out at 15 minutes for every boss at max speed.
  • Talos completion chance reaches 100% with maxed upgrades and a fully claimed paid season pass, which grants +20% across levels 1, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50.
  • Talos no longer applies a per-boss completion penalty — Thanatos and Hephaestus are no harder for it to finish.

v2.0.0

  • Hunter Points are now spent in the new /hunter perk shop on 7 perks — Sight, Swiftness, Luck, Edge, Ward, Plunderer's Fortune and Spectral Echo — instead of unlocking tiers by rank.
