Mote of the Ancients

The Mote of the Ancients is a stored chunk of generator time — feed it to your cell generators to keep them running.

Right-click a Mote to burn part of it into running time, or shift-right-click to spend the whole thing at once. It comes in two flavours of the same item: a stack-form Mote (each worth 60 seconds, stacks neatly) and a value-form Mote that carries a big total in one tile and shows the hours right in its name, like Mote of the Ancients (12h). Either way they auto-consolidate in your inventory and Personal Vault, and they can't be sold.

Where to get it: the most common value drop on the server — it turns up in rank kits, crates and lootboxes, the Erebus Cap, and all sorts of activities. Watch for both small stack-form Motes and larger value-form ones.
