AncientsWiki

Events Overview

Ancients runs a rotating set of recurring events that fire across the network all season long. The fastest way to see what's live is the in-game /events menu — it lists every timed server event with a one-line description and a live countdown or status for each, and the grid recenters itself around whatever is currently listed.

Ambient content that runs continuously rather than on a clock is no longer in that menu: shades and wraiths and the Tartarus Rift were both taken out of /events.

Many events stay locked until the community pushes them open. Most are gated behind the Community Fund, and switch on as the season progresses — a locked event shows Locked (/fund) in the /events menu until its tier is funded. As the Fund fills, more of the rotation comes online.

The kinds of events

Combat & PvP

Fight other players for high-value rewards.

The Erebus Cap (LMS) has been removed from the game, along with /lms and its daily reward. Regular Erebus Guards still patrol The Pit.

Sky & mining

Events that drop out of the sky or light up the mines.

Wilds (PvE)

Roaming threats and traders out in the open worlds.

  • Erebus Tears: a breach opens in the overworld and pours out waves of spirits until its Tearkeeper falls.
  • Shades & Wraiths: the haunts of the Forgotten Polis.
  • The Oracle: a wandering trader with one-off goods.

The Tartarus Rift is its own thing now

The Tartarus Rift is no longer a scheduled server event — it's a personal daily activity you start by talking to the Riftkeeper at spawn whenever you like. It has its own dedicated set of guides rather than a slot in the /events rotation.

Shared rewards

Events aren't isolated — they feed the same progression systems. Expect them to pour into Hunter Points (/hunter), Clue Scrolls, Season Pass challenges, and shared loot like boss essence, flares, and booster boxes. Doing events is one of the steadiest ways to make progress across the board.

Version history

v3.0.0

  • New event: Erebus Tears — a breach opens in the overworld once the Fund reaches tier II, and sealing it calls down Erebus Crates.
  • Shades, Wraiths and the Tartarus Rift have been removed from /events, which now lists timed server events only.
  • The /events grid recenters itself around whatever is listed.
  • LMS and Caravans have been removed from the game, and are gone from /events and the /fund feature list.
  • Chat Games have been removed from the game.
  • KOTH now runs at the same time every day, 6 PM Pacific, instead of alternating slots.
  • Skywars now unlocks at Server Fund tier 2, down from tier 3.

v2.0.0

  • KOTH now runs once a day in the evening (down from twice daily), with a shorter cap.
  • New event: Skywars — a sky-island last-one-standing fight every 2 hours.
  • The Tartarus Rift is no longer a scheduled event — it's now a personal daily activity via the Riftkeeper.
