You're viewing an old revision (#504, 20d ago) of Personal Vaults.

Personal Vaults

Your personal vaults (PVs) are private, server-wide item storage. Whatever you stash follows you everywhere on the network — the contents are identical no matter where you open them. Open them with /pv (alias /personalvault), or jump straight to one with /pv <n>.

You can move items in and out only while in a safe zone. Outside one — or while in combat — your vault is view-only or blocked, so you can check what's inside but not touch it.

One terminal, one grid

In Season 2 your vaults are driven by the PV terminal (with the client mod installed). /pv no longer opens a picker of separate boxes — it opens a single searchable grid of every item across all your vaults at once. Type to filter, scroll to browse, and pull what you need without hopping between pages.

Depositing is just as direct: shift-click an item into a vault and it drops into the first vault with free space. The old per-vault affinities and the /pvsort command are gone — there's nothing to sort or theme anymore.

Clicking a tile while you're already holding a stack puts that stack back into your vault, not into your inventory — putting something down is the same motion as picking it up. Anything you stash back is combined and repacked into one tile instead of being left scattered, and the terminal runs the same pass when you open it, so an item split across several vaults shows as a single tile.

How much you can store

Vault space scales up from three stacking sources:

Source What it grants
Prison rank More rows the higher you climb
PV Expansion items +1 row each — right-click to use
Season Pass The Paid Pass grants whole extra vaults at certain levels

PV Expansions turn up as loot around the game, so even at max rank you can keep growing your storage.

Handy behaviors

  • Auto-tidy on close still consolidates currency-style items — Ancient Energy, money notes, XP bottles and Motes — and combines boss essence, forging full stacks straight into boss keys.
  • Boss keys stay how you leave them. Splitting a stack of keys in your vault (or your inventory) now sticks — they no longer force themselves back together.
  • Correct icons: Fortune's Dice (a custom player-head item) now shows its proper texture in the PV and cell terminals instead of a generic Steve head, and trimmed armour keeps its trim overlay on the terminal icon (with the updated mod).
  • Admins with the mod can open /pvsee <player> straight into that player's terminal.

What still can't go in

  • Calcite items (Cavernheart gear) can't be stored.
  • Rented pickaxes aren't yours to stash — rental items are blocked.

Version history

v3.0.0

  • Clicking a tile in the vault terminal while holding a stack now puts it back into your personal vault instead of into your inventory.
  • Stashing a stack back from the terminal now combines and repacks it into one tile, and opening the terminal repacks your vaults so an item split across several of them shows as one tile.
  • Terminal tiles no longer keep showing a reduced amount after a refused extract, such as when your inventory is full.
  • Fixed a personal vault being emptied when a terminal deposit or a vault swap happened during a database error.
  • Boss keys no longer force themselves back into one stack — splitting a stack in your vault or your inventory now sticks.
  • Enchant Erasers have been removed from the game, so they no longer appear in the auto-tidy list.

v2.0.0

  • Personal Vaults are now driven by the PV terminal (with the client mod) — /pv opens one searchable grid of every item across all your vaults.
  • The old per-vault affinities and /pvsort are gone; shift-clicking an item just fills the first vault with free space.
  • Admins with the mod can open /pvsee <player> straight into that player's terminal.
  • Fortune's Dice now shows its proper texture in the PV and cell terminals, and trimmed armour keeps its trim overlay on the terminal icon.
