Prestige

Ancients has two separate prestige tracks: player prestige, which pushes your mining level past 100, and pickaxe prestige, which permanently upgrades an individual Ancient Pickaxe. They're independent — you can chase both at once.

Player Prestige

Open the prestige menu with /prestige. There are three player prestiges:

Prestige Level required
Prestige I 100
Prestige II 101
Prestige III 102

Prestiging resets you to level 1 and raises your personal max level by one. You can only prestige once the season-wide level cap has risen far enough to allow the next tier (see the Levels page for the cap schedule). Each prestige also grants a one-time reward lockbox — click a prestige pane in /prestige to preview its contents.

Prestige I

  • Max level raised to 101
  • +1 max heart
  • 50% increased energy gain
  • Ores you mine respawn 2× as fast
  • 25% increased Calcite Caverns time

Prestige II

  • Max level raised to 102
  • Ores respawn 3× as fast
  • 25% increased key component drop rate (Calcite Caverns)
  • 25% increased calcite charge drop rate (Calcite Caverns)
  • At level 102: netherite gear unlocked, plus access to /summonmeteor (2h cooldown)

Prestige III

  • Max level raised to 103
  • Ores respawn 4× as fast
  • At level 103: access to /fly (stand on the ground for 3s to activate)

Pickaxe Prestige

Each Ancient Pickaxe can be prestiged individually, up to Prestige 11. Hold the pickaxe and run /pickprestige (or /pickaxeprestige) to open the prestige menu.

Requirements

Every prestige asks two things of that specific pickaxe:

  1. Mine enough of your tier's ore with it. The required ore depends on the pickaxe: wooden picks count iron ore, stone picks lapis, golden picks redstone, iron picks gold ore, diamond picks diamond ore, and netherite picks ancient debris. The required count grows with every prestige — the menu shows your exact progress.
  2. Pay Ancient Energy stored on the pickaxe. The cost rises steeply with each prestige and is higher on higher-tier pickaxes; the menu shows the exact amount before you commit.

Premium ores count for extra progress: emerald ore is worth 1.25 blocks, ancient debris 1.5, and calcite 2. Higher-tier ores also count toward lower-tier requirements.

Prestiging keeps everything on the pickaxe — your level, stored energy, and enchants are all preserved.

What Each Prestige Grants

Prestige You choose
1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9 A stat modifier
3 and 8 A path perk
5 and 10 A stat modifier and a path perk
11 A Tartarus specialization (see below)

Paths

When you pick your first path perk you commit the pickaxe to one of three paths. Each path also grants a passive bonus:

  • Shatter — enhances the Shatter enchant with area perks. Passive: 7% increased Shatter proc rates.
  • Powerball — extra Powerball projectiles and chaining. Passive: 12% increased Powerball proc rates.
  • Proc Manipulation — better proc odds across the board, with pity mechanics. Passive: 5% increased proc rates.

Path Perks

Perk values are rolled randomly within a range when you pick them. Perks taken in the P8/P10 slots roll from a stronger range than P3/P5 ones.

Path Perk What it does P3/P5 roll P8/P10 roll
Shatter Cluster Bomb Chance to proc Shatter 10 extra times near the original proc 8%–12% 10%–15%
Shatter Echoed Impact Shattered blocks can count as a normal break and proc most enchants 1.0%–3.0% 2.0%–4.0%
Shatter Residual Knowledge Shattered blocks give partial XP and bonus energy 2%–5% 4%–7%
Shatter Expanding Shatter Chance for Shatter to gain +1 radius 30%–45% 40%–60%
Powerball Surpassing Extra Powerball projectile chance 110%–150% 150%–190%
Powerball Chain Burst Powerball can proc itself once 30%–40% 35%–50%
Powerball Everlasting Powerball Powerball lasts longer 25%–35% 40%–50%
Proc Amplified Odds Global proc chance, stacks multiplicatively 25%–40% more 35%–50% more
Proc Rising Probability Each non-proc block adds increased proc chance for that enchant until it procs 1.0%–2.0% 1.5%–3.0%
Proc Proc Party Periodically, a burst of blocks each force-attempt a random procable enchant every 30 blocks, next 3 every 25 blocks, next 4
Proc Second Chance When an enchant procs, chance to proc it again on the next block 10%–18% 15%–25%

Stat Modifiers

Stat modifiers are shared across all paths, roll randomly within their range, and each one can only be taken once per pickaxe:

Modifier Roll range
Ore Gain 30%–50% increased ore drops
Energy Gain 20%–40% increased energy from mining
XP Gain 10%–15% increased mining XP
Shard Chance 30%–50.5% more shard drops
Global Proc Chance 10%–15% increased (stacks additively with other increased-proc bonuses)
Calcite Charge Find 50%–100% increased calcite charge drop chance
Energy Capacity 200%–400% more energy storage
Reduced Extract Tax 50%–100% reduced energy extract tax
Ore Respawn Rate 50%–100% increased — your mined ores regenerate faster
Meteorite Energy 30%–50% increased energy from meteorites
Meteorite Ores 30%–50% increased ore drops from meteorites
Mining Speed 20%–30% more mining speed

Tartarus Prestige (P11)

The final prestige is different. Before you can attempt it, you must apply a Tartarus Sigil to the pickaxe. The requirement is enormous, and on completing it you pick one of three hard-trade specializations — each rolls 80–100% more of one resource and completely removes the other two:

  • Pure Insight — 80–100% more XP gain; no energy or ore is gained
  • Pure Conduit — 80–100% more energy gain; no XP or ore is gained
  • Pure Vein — 80–100% more ore drops; no XP or energy is gained

A Tartarus Reroll item can reroll both the choice and the rolled value later.

Reroll & Swap Tokens

Special token items let you tune a prestiged pickaxe after the fact — drag them onto the pickaxe to use:

  • Perk Swap Token — swap one unlocked perk for another perk from any path
  • Perk Reroll Token — reroll the value of every perk (types stay the same)
  • Stat Swap Token — swap one of your stats for a random new one
  • Stat Reroll Token — reroll the value of every stat
