Truing Stone

The Truing Stone is a jewel currency: it rerolls the number on every modifier of a jewel, inside the tier each one already rolled at. Which modifiers the jewel has, and what tier each sits at, do not change — only how good the numbers are inside those tiers.

It's the deliberate opposite of the Reforging Sigil: the sigil gambles on what a line is, the stone gambles on how good your lines are. That makes it the item for a jewel with exactly the right stats and miserable numbers — the case where reforging would risk losing a line you fought for. But it's still a gamble: every line can come back worse.

Using one

• Right-click the stone to pick a jewel from a list, or pick the stone up onto your cursor and click it onto a jewel in your own inventory to true that one directly. It has to be a click — a held-button drag does nothing.
• It only works on a jewel item — a socketed jewel must be taken out first.
• The chat readout prints every line before and after, so the whole trade is visible.
• It does nothing on an Aetheric jewel — uniques have no rolled modifiers.

Where it comes from

Truing Stones are a rare drop from all four Uber bosses. The targeted reroll sits behind the bigger wall — tears pay the sigil, ubers pay the stone.

The rotating Weekly Loot Box from the Obol Store also carries a stone in its current rotation, and is the only way to see one without killing an Uber. That box rotates, so don't count on it lasting.
