Ancient Pickaxe

The Ancient Pickaxe is the core mining tool of the server and the centerpiece of the Path of the Ancients prestige system.

It holds your custom pickaxe enchants, base stats, and a path/perk roll, and it tracks prestige progress from P1 all the way to Tartarus. It levels and prestiges as you mine, with rarer ores counting as more than one block toward prestige, Calcite ×2, Ancient Debris ×1.5, and Emerald ×1.25. The blocks and Ancient Energy each prestige costs are tabulated per tier on Pickaxe Prestige. Rerolling or respeccing a path uses prestige tokens and costs Ancient Energy.

It is never lost on death. White Scrolls have been removed and the pickaxe is now kept unconditionally, but the Ancient Energy stored inside it still drops at your body, taxed at your rank's extract rate if you died outside a safe zone.

Where to get it: it's the universal starting tool, handed to you when you join, and available through the Rental Yard.
