Dungeon Level, XP & Skill Points

Dungeons run on their own progression track, completely separate from your main player level. Check it any time with /dlevel.

Where XP comes from

All dungeon XP comes from boss kills — each dungeon boss awards a fixed amount per tier, so higher tiers pay out more XP per run. Clearing rooms and surviving wipes doesn't move this bar on its own; the boss at the end is the payday.

Banking skill points

Every dungeon level you gain banks +1 skill point. These points are never spent for you — they sit in a pool until you choose to allocate them in the dungeon skill tree at the Oracle of Tartarus. Save them, spend them, or respec on your own schedule.

The efficiency curve

The XP curve is tuned so each tier is the most efficient route through its own level bracket. Pushing the highest tier you can clear is always the fastest way up:

Tier Best for levels
T1 up to 10
T2 up to 20
T3 up to 35
T4 up to 50
T5 up to 65
T6 up to 80
T7 up to 100

Hitting level 100 is a long-haul goal — expect ~1,000+ runs spread across all tiers to get there. Tier access scales with the Dungeons of Tartarus you can take on, so your dungeon level and your tier progression climb together.

Version history

v2.0.0

  • Redesigned the dungeon level XP curve so each tier is the most efficient route through its bracket (T1 to Lv 10, scaling up to T7 to Lv 100); maxing out takes ~1,000+ runs across all tiers.
