Gang Upgrades
Open the upgrade menu with /g upgrades to spend your gang's progress on permanent perks. Every level you buy is paid from your personal money balance, but it also requires your gang to have enough Gang Points banked. The points are a gate, not a cost — they're checked, never spent — so the whole gang keeps its points while individual members fund the upgrades.
The seven tracks
There are seven upgrade tracks in the menu:
| Track | Maxes at | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Energy Gain | 20% | Ancient Energy gain increased by up to 20% |
| XP Gain | 20% | XP gain increased by up to 20% |
| Ore Gain | 20% | Ore gain increased by up to 20% |
| Shard Bonus | — | 20% more mining shards |
| Wormhole Success | 10% | Wormhole enchant success increased by up to 10% |
| Outpost Cap Speed | 40% | Outposts captured up to 40% faster |
| Gang Vault | 6 rows | Up to 6 rows of shared vault storage |
Energy, XP and Ore Gain are additive — they pool into the same bucket as your outpost and prestige bonuses, which is why their lore says "increased by". Shard Bonus is multiplicative, a clean independent multiplier, so it says "more". Wormhole Success raises the odds your Wormhole enchant fires; Outpost Cap Speed shortens the time to flip an outpost; Gang Vault simply unlocks more rows of shared storage.
What it costs
Each level has two requirements, shown side by side on the upgrade icon:
- Money — paid from the buyer's balance. The first level of a track starts at
$100,000and climbs steeply, reaching the hundreds of millions at the top. - Gang Points stored — your gang must hold at least this many points (they stay in the bank). The gate starts around 100k for the first level and scales up to roughly 220M for the last.
Because cells now mint far more Gang Points than the old kill- and mining-based sources did, the points gate was raised across the board to keep pace. A fully-maxed gang is meant to be a season-long goal, not something you clear in a week.
Version history
v2.0.0
- The Gang Points required to unlock each upgrade level were raised roughly 100x — about 100k for the first level up to ~220M for the last — to match the new generator-minted point income.
- Gang Points are now required to unlock upgrades, but are never spent.
