Weapon, Wand & Bow Trims
Trims aren't just for armour. The same system extends to your weapons — swords and axes, ancient wands and ancient bows — so the gear you fight with can carry a trim of its own. Each weapon type lives on its own tab in the /trims catalog, separate from the armour list. See Armour Trims & Sets for how the trim system works at large.
Where weapon trims live
Open /trims and you'll find weapons split out by type — one tab for swords/axes, one for wands, one for bows. Pick the tab for what you're holding to see what that weapon can wear.
Like armour, weapon and wand trims hide their stats until they're discovered. The first player to apply a given trim reveals its effect server-wide, and from then on everyone sees what it does in /trims. Until that first application, it's just a name and a question mark — so being first to roll one is its own small claim to fame.
Skipstone — the wand trim
Skipstone is a cosmetic trim for ancient wands. On its own it's flair, but while you wear the full Skipstone armour set, it earns its keep: when your wand beam hits a wall, it gets a chance to ricochet off the terrain to the nearest enemy in sight.
- One bounce per beam — it skips off the surface once, then it's done.
- It targets the nearest enemy you can see from the point of impact.
- PvE only, like every wand and bow effect — it won't redirect onto another player.
It's a set-bonus trim: the ricochet only fires when the matching Skipstone armour is fully equipped, so it rewards committing to the look top to bottom.
Olympian — the rarest weapon pull
KOTH jackpots can drop the Olympian trim, and there's an ultra-rare weapon variant of it alongside the armour one. The weapon Olympian is the rarest thing in the jackpot — far scarcer than its armour counterpart. If you land one, it's a genuine trophy, and among the rarest finds in Tartarus — left for the worthy to uncover.
Trims vs. cosmetic looks
Don't confuse a weapon trim with a weapon cosmetic. Trims live in /trims and (with the right set) can carry an effect; purely visual looks live in /cosmetics:
| Where | What it is |
|---|---|
/trims |
Weapon, wand and bow trims — appearance plus, in cases like Skipstone, a set-bonus effect |
/cosmetics |
Pure flair — bow trails like Ember Trail, wand beams like Void Beam |
For the decorative side — recolouring your beam or trailing your arrows — head to Cosmetics. And before you commit to a wand or bow build at all, read Wands, Bows & the Glass-Cannon Tradeoff.
