Events Overview
Ancients runs a rotating set of recurring events that fire across the network all season long. The fastest way to see what's live is the in-game /events menu — it lists every event with a one-line description and a live countdown or status for each.
Many events stay locked until the community pushes them open. Most are gated behind the Community Fund, and switch on as the season progresses — a locked event shows Locked (/fund) in the /events menu until its tier is funded. As the Fund fills, more of the rotation comes online.
The kinds of events
Combat & PvP
Fight other players (or a brutal cap) for high-value rewards.
- King of the Hill (KOTH) — hold the hill, claim the crate.
- Skywars — a sky-island last-one-standing fight.
- The Erebus Cap — the survival cap down in The Pit.
- The Black Market Auction House — bid on contraband-grade loot.
Sky & mining
Events that drop out of the sky or light up the mines.
- Meteors & Meteorites — meteors, meteorites, and meteorite showers.
- Mining Events — Mining Competitions, Mining Rushes, and Hot Zones.
Wilds (PvE)
Roaming threats and traders out in the open worlds.
- Caravans — convoys to ambush on the Ancient Roads.
- Shades & Wraiths — the haunts of the Forgotten Polis.
- The Oracle — a wandering trader with one-off goods.
Community
- Chat Games — quick-fire trivia and word games, network-wide, every hour.
The Tartarus Rift is its own thing now
The Tartarus Rift is no longer a scheduled server event — it's a personal daily activity you start by talking to the Riftkeeper at spawn whenever you like. It has its own dedicated set of guides rather than a slot in the /events rotation.
Shared rewards
Events aren't isolated — they feed the same progression systems. Expect them to pour into Hunter Points (/hunter), Clue Scrolls, Season Pass challenges, and shared loot like boss essence, flares, and booster boxes. Doing events is one of the steadiest ways to make progress across the board.
