Offhands
Offhands are a slot of their own — tiered I–III items you equip with /offhand to bolt a passive or active power onto your build. Each archetype's bonus rolls per-instance within a range, so two of the same offhand can have different numbers; check the Offhand Collection menu to see your exact rolled stat. You can swap offhands anywhere now (the old safe-zone restriction is gone), just not while in combat.
Tiers can be claimed in any order — pulling a Tier III before its lower tiers works fine — and the picker always equips the highest tier you own of each archetype.
Six archetypes exist, each tied to a different endgame system.
The six offhands
| Offhand | Source | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Wrath of Thanatos | Thanatos | Single-target combat (Soul Rot) |
| Hephaestus's Spark | Hephaestus | AoE combat (Forge Heat) |
| Pulse of Tartarus | Rift Caches | Random mining buffs |
| Aether Aegis | Skywars Champion Box | Damage reduction |
| Wraithheart | Wraiths | Hunt PvE damage |
| Bound Shade | Erebus Crates | Autonomous fighting companion |
Wrath of Thanatos — Soul Rot
A combat offhand from Thanatos. Your melee hits stack Soul Rot (up to 5 stacks, or 6 with the full Thanatos set). Each stack ticks armour-reduced decay damage per second, and hitting the target again refreshes the rot so it keeps ticking. Wearing the full Thanatos armour set raises the stack cap and heals you on every rot tick. It's sustained single-target pressure — no AoE.
Hephaestus's Spark — Forge Heat
A combat offhand from Hephaestus. Melee hits build Heat; at max Heat your next strike detonates an AoE forge-burst — armour-reduced fire damage that ignites nearby enemies — and then your heat resets. The full Hephaestus armour set makes Heat build faster and hit harder. Works in both PvP and PvE — the AoE shines in crowded fights like the Erebus Pit or a Tearkeeper's shade pack.
Pulse of Tartarus — Excavator
A mining offhand from Rift Caches. Every cycle it grants one random buff — increased XP, Ancient Energy, or ore drops. Both the cycle period and the buff window improve with tier, and the buff strength rolls 30–75%. The action bar shows your actual rolled strength.
Aether Aegis — defense
A Skywars Champion Box exclusive — among the rarer offhands to come by. It's a pure defensive roll: a rolled incoming-damage reduction that tops out at 10% less damage taken at T3.
Wraithheart
A PvE Hunt offhand dropped by Wraiths, rarer to pull from the tougher tiers. It gives +5–25% PvE damage versus shades and wraiths by tier, and unlocks more at higher tiers:
- T2/T3 — Soul Siphon: 1.5% (T2) or 3% (T3) of your Hunt damage is Leeched as Life — it feeds the shared Leech pool instead of healing instantly.
- T3 — Spectral Detonation: every Hunt kill explodes the corpse, chaining through packs.
Bound Shade
A companion offhand that drops from Erebus Crates in three tiers. A Bound Shade follows you and fights on its own, picking its own targets. Each tier only drops from the Erebus Tear tiers it belongs to — a higher tear never pays a lower tier.
Tinkering up a tier
All offhands can be tinkered up a tier in /offhand. A tinker costs Ancient Energy and has a per-archetype success chance — lower for the harder bosses, with Hephaestus's Spark the harshest of the lot. A failed tinker is the real gate on chasing T3; the energy is spent whether it lands or not.
