Currencies

Ancients runs on three main currencies. Each one is earned differently and buys different things — here's the quick map, with focused pages linked off each.

Money ($)

Money is your cash balance. Check it with /bal, see the richest players with /baltop, and send some to a friend with /pay <player> <amount>.

You earn it mostly by mining: ores you break are auto-sold and paid out as Money Notes — physical banknotes that stack in your inventory. There's no sell tax any more, so a note holds the full sale value wherever you mined it. Right-click a note in a safe zone to bank it, or /withdraw <amount|all> in a safe zone to turn balance back into a note for trading.

Ancient Energy

Ancient Energy is the enchanting fuel. As you mine, energy charges directly into the pickaxe you're holding — its stored total grows right on the item. It powers the Wormhole, where items you throw in spend their energy to level up and roll enchants, and it charges special items like enchant orbs.

It's also the price of every Calcite enchant attempt now that Calcite Charges are gone: each roll at the Calcite Wormhole is paid from the item's stored energy first, then from loose energy in your inventory.

To move it around, /extract <amount|all> pulls energy out of a held item as physical energy orbs — free in a safe zone, but taxed outside one (starting at 20% and shrinking to 5% as you rank up). /combine merges loose stacks back together.

Obols

Obols are the premium currency, and they're special: it's one network-wide wallet that does not reset between seasons. Check it with /obols and send some with /obols pay <player> <amount>.

Obols spend in The Obol Store (/store), ranks, the Season Pass, premium crates, global boosters, and more.

Other rewards you'll meet

Voting for the server earns vote points for the vote shop — a separate minor reward track that sits alongside the three currencies above.
