Echidna

The Mother of Monsters — a colossal spider dripping with venom. Echidna is a moderate fight, the next step up from Lamia.

Summoning

  • Key: Echidna's Coil — forged automatically when you collect 64 Essence of Echidna, which drops from mid-tier shades, wraiths and caravans. Also sold in the Boss Shop for 7,500 Hunter Points.
  • Requirement: Hunter rank T3 (/hunter).
  • Summon at her altar via /boss and enter the portal with your party.

The Fight

Echidna mixes heavy melee with ground hazards. Watch the floor — everything she does is telegraphed in circles.

  • Venom Barrage — she rears up and green-ringed circles appear around the arena, then venom rains into them: damage plus poison. Step out before the splash.
  • Web Zones — red-ringed circles fill with cobwebs. Get caught and you're webbed in place, weakened and poisoned while she closes in. Don't fight from inside a web.
  • Fang Strike — red sparks build around her, then she slams everything nearby with knockback. The closer you stand, the harder it hits — back off during the wind-up.
  • Cocoon — twice during the fight she seals herself in a cocoon and floods the arena with broodlings. Kill every broodling within 20 seconds:
    • Succeed → the cocoon shatters and she's stunned — your big damage window.
    • Fail → the surviving brood triggers a venom flood: a heavy hit, strong poison, and your damage is 50% less for 15 seconds.

Drops

All loot goes to the summoner. Typical haul per kill (rarities approximate):

  • Common: Enchant Dust, Enchant Erasers, Motes of the Ancients
  • Uncommon: Mystery Enchant Orbs, the Quantum Entangler, rare booster boxes, Condensed Crude Lapis/Redstone
  • Rare: a max-level Momentum exceptional orb, Fortune's Dice, armor/weapon slot expanders, pickaxe stat/perk swap items
  • Very rare: Golden Tickets, the Ancient Mannequin, a GKit Mystery Flare
  • Signature (rarest): Echidna's Strand

Killing her also pays the summoner 1,500 Hunter Points. Chasing the Strand? Track it on the RNG Meter (/rngmeter).
