Twinned is a Proc Manipulation path perk for pickaxe prestige. Whenever something procs while you are mining, Twinned has a chance to drag a different procable enchant along with it.

At a glance

Path Proc Manipulation
Roll 20%–35% chance
Slots Any perk slot (P1, P5, P10)
Cap One extra proc per block
Requires At least one natural proc on that block

How it works

  1. You break a block and at least one enchant procs naturally.
  2. Twinned rolls its chance.
  3. On a hit, it looks at the five procable mining enchants, throws out any that already fired on this block, throws out any your pickaxe does not carry, and picks one at random from what is left.
  4. That enchant fires as if it had rolled naturally.

The procable pool is:

Because it excludes what already fired, Twinned always adds something new rather than doubling up what you just got. If everything you carry already fired, nothing happens.

Does Twinned work with path perks?

Yes. The enchant Twinned fires runs its full normal pipeline, so every path perk that hangs off that enchant applies:

Twinned fires Perks that still apply
Shatter Cluster Bomb, Core Breach, Shatterstorm, Residual Knowledge
Powerball Swarm, Meteor, Fission

A Twinned Shatter counts as a primary Shatter, so it ticks the Core Breach counter and can be the one that surges.

Two things Twinned does not do:

  • It does not arm Second Chance. Only a natural proc does that, so a Twinned proc will not be replayed on the next block.
  • It does not benefit from Amplified Odds or any other increased-proc bonus, because a forced proc skips the chance roll entirely. Those bonuses still help indirectly, by making the natural procs that trigger Twinned more common.

Notes

  • Twinned cannot chain into itself. It is capped at one extra proc per block, and a Twinned proc cannot trigger another Twinned roll.
  • Overcharge does not set Twinned off on its own — Twinned needs a natural proc, and after an Overcharge there is nothing left to add anyway.
  • Twinned's own roll is a flat chance. Lucky, trims and other proc modifiers do not scale it.
  • Everything a Twinned proc earns is credited to the perk rather than to the enchant it happened to pick.
  • The more of the five procable enchants you carry, the better Twinned gets: it has more candidates to pick from and is less likely to find nothing available.
