Lamia

A cursed serpent queen who commands mirrors and clones, Lamia is the easiest of the four bosses — the right first summon for a new hunter. Her difficulty label is simply Easy.

Summoning

  • Key: Lamia's Tear, forged from 64 Essence of Lamia — the lowest-tier shade and wraith drops (T1–T2). Also sold in the Boss Shop for 5,000 Hunter Points.
  • Unlocked at Community Fund tier I: the first boss the fund opens, and the fund tier is the only gate. There's no level or prestige requirement on any boss any more, so she's where most hunters start.

See Summoning a Boss for the full altar flow. Her altar also accepts Lamia's Weeping Mirror, the separate Uber key that summons Uber Lamia from Fund tier V.

The fight

Lamia stalks one fighter at a time and switches targets as the fight goes on. She bites to drain life, dashes along the ground, and twice during the fight scatters into a ring of identical mirror-clones — cut them down and the illusion shatters. She holds her bigger abilities back at first, so the opening moments are tame, but she hits hard once she gets going. Come prepared, and you'll find out the rest at the altar.

Like every boss, Lamia slowly regenerates when left alone, can't be slowed, and can't be stun-locked. Your own crowd control won't chain on her. Her abilities now bite through armour instead of being shredded by it, so a telegraph that looks dangerous is dangerous. Die and you respawn at her altar.

She and her mirrors also move smoothly now, instead of visibly snapping forward about once a second, and neither she nor her mirrors can leave the arena — anything that slips through the walls is pulled back inside within a second.

Drops

All loot goes to the summoner. Her loot table was rebuilt for the new map and now centers on a small, high-value spread: a max-level Efficiency exceptional orb, enchanting materials, a booster box, and her signature chase drop, Lamia's Veil, a rare pull worth hunting for.

She also guards her own armour trim, Lamia's Molt, alongside the Veil, two chase pulls in one table.

Condensed crude ore, Fortune's Dice and slot expanders are no longer in her table. The S2 rebuild and condensed-ore removal cleared them out.

Her death broadcast and the sidebar now report the damage you actually dealt, rather than the number before her damage reduction.

Killing her pays the summoner 500 Hunter Points (a fix in Season 2 corrected the old Echidna/Lamia swap). Chasing the Veil? Track it on the RNG Meter (/rngmeter). When she stops being a challenge, Uber Lamia is the same queen with a bigger kit and a loot table of her own.

Version history

v3.0.0

  • Lamia is now gated by Community Fund tier I alone, matching the rest of the roster, no level or prestige requirement anywhere.
  • Lamia and her mirrors now move smoothly instead of visibly snapping forward about once a second.
  • Lamia and her mirrors can no longer spawn or wander outside the arena walls; anything that slips out is pulled back in within a second.
  • Her death broadcast and sidebar now report the damage you actually dealt.
  • Her abilities no longer lose most of their damage to armour.
  • Dying to her now respawns you at her altar instead of at spawn.
  • Lamia's Molt, her armour trim, now grants 25% increased mining speed, down from 50%.
  • Lamia's Veil now costs a flat 50,000 Ancient Energy per use, replacing the old cost that scaled with mining level.
  • Added Uber Lamia, summoned at the same altar with Lamia's Weeping Mirror from Fund tier V.

v2.0.0

  • Lamia stays open as the introductory boss, no level gate, while Echidna, Thanatos and Hephaestus each gained one.
  • She no longer drops Condensed Crude Ore (moved to Erebus Pit crafting).
  • Loot table rebuilt for the new map, around its signature drop — Lamia's Veil.
  • Fixed Lamia awarding Echidna's Hunter Points. She now correctly gives 500.
  • Now slowly regenerates when left alone, can't be slowed, and can't be stun-locked (shared boss changes).
